NEW YORK ASBESTOS ABATEMENT REGULATIONS

Minor project. "Minor project" shall mean a project involving the disturbance (e.g. removal, enclosure, encapsulation, repair) of 25 linear feet or less of friable asbestos containing material or I0 square feet or less of friable asbestos containing material.

Movable object. "Movable object" shall mean a unit of equipment or furniture in the work area which can be removed from the work area.

Negative air pressure equipment. "Negative air pressure equipment" shall mean a portable local exhaust system equipped with HEPA filtration. The system shall be capable of creating a negative pressure differential between the outside and inside of the work area. NIOSH. "NIOSH" shall mean the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
