Yes, but not for work done by homeowners and/or their contractors and public agencies. MassDEP regulations establish an $85 fee per asbestos notification filed.

However, owner-occupied residential properties with four or fewer units, cities, towns, counties, districts of the Commonwealth, municipal housing authorities or other state agencies are not subject to asbestos notification fees.
