Railway Workers: Did your railroad job cause an asbestos illness? Our lawyers can help.
A former railway employee claims permanent lung injuries due to workplace exposure to asbestos, according to the Madison County Record on July 7, 2008.
The man, who worked as a carman in the railroad industry from 1964 until 1982, claims his employer failed to warn him of the hazardous nature of asbestos and failed to inspect railroad equipment and buildings to determine their contaminationn level.
He says he suffers "extreme nervousness as a result of his reasonable concern over the prospects of developing cancer caused by silica, asbestos, environmental tobacco smoke, and/or diesel fumes...," according to court documents.
