Asbestos removal program will begin once funding is approved

Once funding is approved through this Action Memorandum, the procedures and actions for removing asbestos from the contaminated site will be initiated.

Tree removal and excavation will begin immediately following establishment of the site support zone and ancillary facilities (i.e. office trailer, electric and phone service).

Excavation and off-site disposal, followed by back filling and restoration, are expected to last several months.
