Will MassDEP confirm the project start date for asbestos removal?

No. Unless MassDEP contacts you with a statement of deficiencies about your notification, you can begin work on the "project start date" you specified on the Asbestos Notification Form ANF-001.

When completing the ANF-001, be sure that the "project start date" falls after the 10 working day waiting period.

MassDEP recommends that you keep a copy of the completed ANF-001 that you file online or, if you file a paper copy, a copy that shows the number on the notification decal you attached prior to submitting the form to MassDEP.
