Ashland High School
The students of Ashland High school are in particular danger for developing cancer due to their proximity to the near-by Nyanza superfund side.
Four childhood friends from Ashland High school developed a rare cancer as they used to play sports near the contaminated lagoons.
"One of the things the Ashland High School football team did when they won a big game was jump in the lagoons," said Suzanne Condon, head of the environmental health division at the Department of Health.
So far there have been at least 73 cases of cancer reported in the Ashland area, 40 of which that have been confirmed, some of which are students who went to Ashland High school in the 1980's.
