Dehydration Poses Danger in Airline on Board Liquid Ban

The new ban on air travelers carrying any liquids with them when they board a flight carries a threat of dehydration for some people with medical conditions, the Associated Press reports. Doctors note that it is especially dangerous for those with diseased hearts or kidneys. In response to this potential risk, some airlines have begun to add extra bottles of water on board. Under new regulations in response to a failed terrorist plot in Britain involving the use of dangerous liquids, water, soda and nutritional drinks are banned from being brought aboard airplanes.
Families Sue Chalk’s Ocean Airways

A Florida attorney on Tuesday filed a class action lawsuit against Chalk’s Ocean Airways on behalf of the families of some of the 20 people who died in an horrific plane crash off Miami Beach on December 19.
Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Robert Moses

Three people were injured yesterday when their aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Robert Moses State Park.
New York State Park Police say that the Piper Cherokee plane called for an emergency landing at about 5:25 p.m. The Suffolk Police Department, local fire departments and the FAA were on the scene.
No injuries reported from small plane crash

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of a small plane crash Saturday, August 27, said Watertown Fire Chief Larry Black.
Chief Black said no injuries were reported after the minor crash, which was reported to Middlebury and Watertown fire departments between 12:30 and 1 p.m.

Small plane crashes in Ottawa County; four on board escape injury

PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A single-engine airplane carrying a pilot and three children crashed while trying to land at Park Township Airport, but all on board escaped injury, officials said.
The crash happened Saturday at the airport in Ottawa County, The Holland Sentinel and The Grand Rapids Press reported. The pilot apparently had a problem with a landing gear on the Beechcraft Bonanza, officials said.
2 hurt as plane crash-lands on I-70

A pilot and his passenger were injured Friday morning after crash landing on Interstate 70 on Vail Pass, narrowly missing two tanker trucks and causing a motorcyclist to duck for cover.
Pilot Brooks Johnson, 42, was attempting to fly over the pass in his Piper Cherokee when he lost altitude, passenger John Clark, 52, said from Vail Valley Medical Center Friday afternoon.
