Baby Hammock Recall
CPSC Announces Recall of MamaLittleHelper Baby Hammocks Due to Suffocation Hazard
On August 24, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a nationwide recall of baby hammocks sold in the U.S. by Texas-based MamaLittleHelper LLC.
The recalled baby products were recalled after the CPSC received reports that babies placed in them at risk to become entrapped in the hammock mattress. The hammocks were further found to be unstable, meaning that even older babies able to roll over and toddlers still face entrapment and suffocation risks.
The CPSC advisory follows. For more information about this recall, including photos of the recalled baby hammocks, please click here.
