The R.A. Bloch Cancer Foundation is an organization founded by Richard Bloch, who was diagnosed with cancer in the 1970's and given a dismal prognosis for survival.
In addition to traditional treatments for his disease, he committed himself to a strong positive outlook focused on beating his cancer. In the 26 years from his diagnosis to his death (from an illness unrelated to cancer) he and his wife committed themselves to “helping the next person with cancer have the best chance of beating it.”
