Treatment approach for lower large intestinal partial blockage, one of the various types of bowel problems
In some cases, where the blockage is suspected to be in the lower section of the large intestine, a tube can be inserted rectally into the bowel. If successful, this produces the same result as the nasogastic tube. Thus, this is an alternative method to treating bowel problems such as bowel obstruction.
