Over 6,000 claims have reportedly been filed against British Petroleum since the oil drilling rig disaster.
Over 500 of them have been filed by our firm on behalf of fishermen affected by the BP oil spill.“The problem is nobody knows how long the fishing is going to be closed, how long the leak is going to continue and just how severely damaged these people are,” said Gordon in the CNBC interview. “It may be a generation before they’re able to go out and fish the way they were before.”
Gordon isolated the types of claims into categories of need.
“There will be a variety of claims: economic loss by fishermen, personal injury (for) the 11 people who died on the rig, economic losses by hotel owners, natural resources claims by the attorneys generals of the five states along the coast (and) federal lawsuits as well,” he said.BP spill class actions
The environmental lawyers of our firm would like to help these people recover monetary losses due to the BP Gulf oil spill. Many have opted to join our oil spill class action lawsuit.
Our lawsuits, filed by a consortium of lawyers against BP, Halliburton, Cameron and other parties, seek to recover damages suffered by our clients as a result of the BP spill. The lawsuits allege, in part, that Defendants knew of the dangers associated with deep-water drilling and failed to take appropriate measures to prevent damages to our clients and the environment in which they live and work.
