Chromium in Peters, PA - Factory site contamination worse than thought

Peters - Willoughby Woods, a 20-unit townhouse development on Valleybrook Road, recently received approval from local council.

Before work can begin on the project, however, the developer of the project will have to "comply with a remediation plan from the state Department of Environmental Resources after an environmental study found metals such as arsenic, chromium and lead in fill used to cover acid drainage ponds at the site," post-gazette.com reports.
