Unusually High Number of Children Born and Living in Clyde, Ohio Affected by Cancer. Our Environmental Cancer Lawyers Can Help Sandusky County Residents

In January 2009, the Ohio Department of Health (DOH) undertook a study of water in the area. They tested drinking water samples from public water systems, the City of Clyde, the Northern Ohio Rural Water (NORW) and domestic water wells.
The results of that testing, which were released to the public in May 2009, revealed that while levels of some organic minerals (including strontium, which is found in northwestern Ohio bedrock) were at higher levels than those the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) determines safe. However, none of the substances was seen to be linked to the increase in pediatric cancer cases. The Ohio EPA and the Ohio Department of Agriculture were to conduct additional water sampling during May and June of 2009.
