Colorado Drunk Driving Laws & Issues 2003
Colorado Drunk Driving laws are strict. Colorado does have administrative license revocation for drunk drivers, which means the state has the ability to revoke the drivers license for a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The Zero Tolerance alcohol limit for drivers under 21 is 0.02 BAC. Colorado does have graduated licensing. Colorado does qualify for the Section 410 incentive grant program.
Other Colorado traffic safety laws include:
- (Secondary; Primary for Drivers < 17) Front seats for occupants of passenger motor vehicles - $15 Fine + $2 minimum
- Restraint required < 4 years old and < 40 pounds, or 4- 6 years old, under 55 - $56 Fine
- 07/01/69 Repealed effective 5-20-77. No helmet use requirement.
