CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ACCIDENT
Construction worker injured in Cook County, Illinois, car accident
October 27, 2008 -- A construction worker was recently involved in a highway accident when he was hit by a passing car on Shermer Avenue in Northbrook, authorities said.
The 31-year-old construction worker was near Willow Road about 10 a.m. when he was hit by a motorist, police said. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The motorist was ticketed for failure to exercise caution, authorities said.
