Cytotec Side Effects Lawsuit- Cytotec Should Not Be Used to Induce Labor
If Cytotec is used 'off label' to induce labor, serious injury or death of
both mother and child may result, and you may be entitled to file a lawsuit for damages.
This use has not been approved by the
Food and Drug Administration. According to the FDA, there can be serious side
effects, including a torn uterus (womb), when misoprostol is used for labor and
delivery. A torn uterus may result in severe bleeding, having the uterus removed
(hysterectomy), and death of the mother or baby. These side effects are more
likely in women who have had previous uterine surgery, a previous Cesarean
delivery (C-section), or several previous births.
If you or a loved one
has been harmed by off-label use of Cytotec, you may be able to file a medical malpractice claim
on your behalf.
