Danny R. Kraft Jr. is one of the lead trial attorneys in the asbestos litigation unit at Weitz & Luxenberg. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has worked exclusively on cases involving asbestos since 2008.
From 2001-2008, Mr. Kraft worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. While an Assistant District Attorney, he tried dozens of cases to verdict ranging from misdemeanors to homicides.
Dan was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He earned his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 and his J.D. from the Emory University School of Law in 2001.
In June 2011, Dan successfully tried an asbestos case involving two clients who developed lung cancer as a result of their exposures to asbestos. Both clients were former smokers who worked with asbestos containing gaskets manufactured by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Goodyear Canada. After a 6 week trial, the jury awarded his clients 22 million dollars in damages.
