Learn about Avandaryl: An Anti-Diabetic Drug with Dangerous Side Effects

Avandaryl is an anti-diabetes medication designed to give people better control over their blood sugar levels. It is prescribed to people with type 2 diabetes who do not take daily insulin shots.

Avandaryl is a combination of two drugs – glimepiride and rosiglitazone maleate. The latter has been discovered to increase the risk of heart attacks in patients.

An article in the June 14, 2007 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine reports that based on a review of more than 40 clinical studies, rosiglitazone, marketed as Avandia, was found to significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular events, compared with other diabetes drugs or a placebo.

If you or a loved one has suffered cardiac complications after ingesting Avandia or Avandaryl, you deserve the guidance of an experienced drug attorney. Get a free case review by filling out the form below.
