Fosamax - Are chemotherapy patients at risk?
Fosamax is commonly combined with intravenous chemotherapy treatments given
to cancer patients to prevent Osteoporosis.
Patients may undergo these
treatments, sometimes weekly or bi-weekly, for up to one year or
longer.
Fosamax, particularly when dispensed intravenously, has been
shown to cause a general hardening of the bones (bones become brittle) and has
also been linked to a medical condition that causes the jaw bone to rot (Osteonecrosis of the
Jaw).
If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with ONJ (Dead Jaw), Weitz and Luxenberg may be
able to get you compensation for your pain and suffering.
