Fosamax & Myofascial Pain Syndrome
Fosamax use has been associated with Myofascial Pain
Syndrome.
Myofascial Pain Syndrome is a musculoskeletal chronic syndrome
that creates pain or malfunctioning of the fascial system.
It is
associated and characterized by "trigger points" (TrPs), sensitive and painful
areas between the muscle and fascia.
The symptoms range from referred
pain through myofascial trigger points to specific pains in other areas of the
body. Constriction and pressure upon the muscles, organs, nerves, or bones can
bind the fascia and induce pain.
If you developed Myofascial Pain
Syndrome after using Fosamax, you may be entitled to compensation for your
