Baxter, the Wisconsin-based maker of the blood thinner heparin's active ingredient, just received another blow. Three Japanese companies recalled the product over worries about its link to Chinese manufacturing, reported the Chicago Tribune on March 11, 2008. Meanwhile, in the United States, lawsuits continued to proliferate at the behest of those who sustained serious injuries after being administered the tainted product.

An FDA investigation into hundreds of life-threatening allergic reactions and at least four deaths continues.

According to the Tribune, allergic reactions, which include racing heartbeats and low blood pressure, also have been linked to China-sourced heparin ingredients in Germany.

If you were harmed after being administered heparin, please complete the form below and a representative of our firm will contact you as soon as possible.
