Two women in in South West England are fighting to have dumped asbestos pipes removed from a swath of land that is frequently used by kids, according to the Wiltshire Times on June 11, 2008.
Reportedly, the concrete drain pipes, which contain the carcinogen asbestos, were illegally dumped on ground behind a building supplies store.
According to the Times, they were spotted on the piece of land in March by the two local women.
Residents in the area reported the location of the pipes to their district council several months ago. No action has yet been taken and the pipes remain exposed on the ground.
