MEDTRONIC LAWSUITS
After Medtronic recalls faulty defibrillators, personal injury lawsuits begin . . .
A man has filed one of many lawsuits building up against Medtronic, Inc.
Only one of many Medtronic lawsuits, this one seeks damages for personal injuries and economic damages suffered as a result of an alleged defective and dangerous defibrillator, the St. Clair Record reported on July 15, 2008.
Court papers indicate the man has a heart condition and, as a result, was implanted with a Medtronic defibrillator in 2005.
The man said his defibrillator has a Sprint Fidelis lead, a device that is supposed to help his heart maintain an appropriate cardiac rhythm and to prevent sudden cardiac arrest.
He reported having received several shocks from the defective lead that resulted in numerous surgeries to correct.
Our firm represents individuals who were implanted with defective Medtronic Sprint Fidelis leads numbered: 6930, 6931, 6948, and 6949.
