Vermont Asbestos Group mine maybe responsible for future diagnoses of mesothelioma

It has been reported that Vermont Department of Health officials are visiting towns near a former asbestos mine to inform residents of a report showing that past mining activity may be causing asbestos diseases like asbestosis. Additionally, the asbestos exposure could result in residents being diagnosed with mesothelioma decades later.

The report goes further to state that past mining activity maybe responsible for fourteen hospitalizations and five deaths.
