Dry cleaner passed away from mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure
Dry cleaner had asbestos exposure from mesothelioma
It has been reported that a 71 year old woman who had worked as a dry cleaner decades ago died from mesothelioma, a disease related to asbestos exposure, on December 3, 2008.
It is believed that she was exposed to asbestos while working as a dry cleaner. One of her duties was to shake out workers’ overalls before putting them in the washing machine. It is highly likely that she inhaled asbestos fibers while shaking out the overalls. She was not given any protective masks to prevent exposure to asbestos.
