Researchers at the University of Chicago and the National Cancer Institute are recruiting patients diagnosed with mesothelioma for a study of an experimental drug known as AZD2171. The drug is being tested in patients with tumors that cannot be surgically removed.
In this Phase II study, researchers will study the effectiveness of the drug in stopping the growth of tumor cells.
The study is being conducted at 19 hospitals located in the following states: California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
