The Southwest Oncology Group in San Antonio, Texas and the National Cancer Institute are conducting clinical trials of the drug Everolimus. In this Phase II trial, patients with malignant mesothelioma that cannot be treated surgically will be studied to determine the effectiveness of the drug.
The study is being conducted at healthcare facilities in 67 states, including hospitals in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Montana and Ohio.
