The National Cancer Institute is currently conducting a clinical trial of two chemotherapy drugs, FR901228 and Flavopiridol. The Institute is seeking patients with mesothelioma, lung cancer and/or esophageal cancer to participate in the study.
The purpose of the Phase I trial is to determine the side effects and most effective dosage of FR901228 when given in combination with Flavopiridol.
The study is currently being conducted at the NCI-Center for Cancer Research and the Warrant Grant Magnuson Clinical Center. Both facilities are located in Bethesda, Maryland.
