Former machinist battling mesothelioma
Former machinist diagnosed with mesothelioma
The Times Herald has reported on the mesothelioma diagnosis of a former machinist. It is believed that his asbestos exposure which ultimately caused mesothelioma, took place at his work locations.
He filed a lawsuit against the makers, suppliers and distributors of the asbestos that was present around him. All of the defendants settled the mesothelioma case with the former machinist.
Many machinists often worked in hazardous conditions, with asbestos fibers not being filtered but instead released into the air where they could be breathed in by those in the area.
This, in turn, imperiled the health of machinists. Many have come forward to say their work environment led to a diagnosis of mesothelioma, asbestosis or lung cancer from asbestos.
