Support for Families: Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. makes a donation to fund mesothelioma research
April 20, 2010 - The law firm of Weitz & Luxenberg has made a donation to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation fund on behalf of our client Anthony Iacono who died of mesothelioma cancer in April 2000.
Mr. Iacono's wife, Anna, and his three daughters, Stephanie, Angelica and Erica, participated in a 5k "Walk for Hope" on Sunday, April 18, 2010, to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Mr. Iacono's passing, and remember others who have died from mesothelioma after being occupationally exposed to asbestos containing products.
The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating mesothelioma. The organization seeks to educate the public about the disease, helping affected families obtain information on treatment options and to connect with mesothelioma treatment specialists. It also funds mesothelioma research projects from around the world.
