The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio and the National Cancer Institute are currently recruiting patients with mesothelioma, lung cancer and precancerous and nonmalignant lung conditions to participate in a study of Optical Coherence Tomography.
The objective of the study is to determine whether lung biopsy samples obtained via surgery can be used as a diagnostic tool to detect precancerous cells lung cancer.
The study is being conducted at eight Cleveland, Ohio hospitals: The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center; Geauga Regional Hospital; Lake/University Ireland Cancer Center; Mercy Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center; Southwest General Health Center; UHHS Chagrin Highlands Medical Center; UHHS Westlake Medical Center and University Suburban Health Center.
