A former plumbing and heating engineer who worked with asbestos died from mesothelioma, reported the Huddersfield Daily Examiner on August 14, 2008.

The man, who was 81, had left school to work as a plumber in his family’s business, according to the Examiner.

His work involved removing and replacing boilers and pipes with asbestos linings. This, unfortunately, exposed him to the deadly asbestos fibers.
