The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, both located n Boston, Massachusetts, are currently recruiting patients diagnosed with malignant pleural mesothelioma to participate in a clinical trial to study the effects of Cisplatin and Sodium Thiosulfate in combination with Alimta.
The Phase II interventional study will evaluate the feasibility and outcomes in patients treated with heated Cisplatin and intravenous doses of Sodium Thiosulfate after pleurectomy/decortication surgery. During the study, patients will be also be treated with Alimta.
