The M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX and the pharmaceutical company Novartis are currently conducting clinical trials to study the chemotherapy drugs Cisplatin, Imatinib Mesylate and Pemetrexed in patients diagnosed with mesothelioma.

Participants in this Phase I study will receive doses of all three chemotherapy medications. The purpose of the trial is to determine the maximum tolerated doses of the three drugs in combination.
