The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee and the National Cancer Institute are currently conducting a clinical trial study of 1-Methyl-d-Tryptophan for patients with mesothelioma or with relapsed or refracted solid tumors.

The Phase I trial will study patients given varying doses of the drug in order to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD), as well as the drug’s effectiveness in terms of anti-tumor activity.
