Minnesota Miners: Mesothelioma Incidence Twice the National Average
Minn. – July, 2008 – The University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health is leading a study as to why men in the Iron Range area of Minnesota have been developing mesothelioma at two times the national average. The university aims to gain a better understanding of why taconite miners are passing away from mesothelioma, a form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure.
On behalf of those harmed by asbestos, lawyers of Weitz & Luxenberg have filed tens of thousands of cases to help provide financial security, access to medical care and dignity. Weitz & Luxenberg has recovered hundreds of millions more for its asbestos clients.
