Clinical Trials for Mesothelioma Patients: Dasatinib (NSC #732517) Prior Concurrent Therapy

Read the prior and concurrent therapy criteria for a current clinical trial being conducted to study the effects of Dasatinib (NSC #732517) for patients who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma. Please note: this information is provided by Weitz & Luxenberg for informational purposes only.

Prior Concurrent Therapy:
At least 4 weeks since prior pemetrexed disodium-containing chemotherapy
At least 4 weeks since prior major surgery
At least 4 weeks since prior radiation therapy
o Measurable disease must be outside the radiation port
Prior intracavitary cytotoxic or sclerosing therapy (including bleomycin) allowed
o Intrapleural cytotoxic chemotherapy will not be considered systemic chemotherapy
No prior tyrosine kinase, signal transduction, or angiogenesis inhibitor therapy
At least 7 days since prior and no concurrent antithrombotic or anti-platelet agents, including any of the following:
o Aspirin or aspirin-containing combinations
o Clopidogrel
o Dipyridamole
o Tirofiban
o Epoprostenol
o Eptifibatide
o Cilostazol
o Abciximab
o Ticlopidine
o Warfarin
Low-dose Warfarin for prophylaxis to prevent catheter thrombosis allowed
o Heparin or low molecular weight heparin
Heparin for IV line flush allowed
