Man brings lawsuit after developing mesothelioma from exposure to deadly asbestos dusts

A husband and wife have filed an asbestos lawsuit against dozens of companies, alleging the man contracted mesothelioma as a result of working around deadly asbestos dusts for decades, according to the West Virginia Record on July 31, 2008.

According to the Record, the man worked at Union Carbide from the early '50s to the late '80s. The article says the man claims he was exposed to asbestos there and developed mesothelioma from the deadly asbestos dusts at that location.

The lawsuit alleges that the companies are responsible for his illness because they did not warn him that their products were dangerous and that asbestos dusts pose deadly health risks.

From shipfitters, pipefitters and demolition workers, to those toiling on railroads and in construction, Weitz & Luxenberg has many clients whose needless and entirely avoidable exposure to asbestos dusts ultimately led to them developing asbestos-related diseases.

Weitz & Luxenberg is a leading plaintiffs' law firm that has represented people affected by mesothelioma for over 20 years. Men and women diagnosed with mesothelioma or lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure may be entitled to compensation from the companies responsible for their disease.
