The wife of a man who died from mesothelioma has launched a lawsuit for compensation against the company he worked for, reported the Birmingham Mail on May 27, 2008.
The man, who lived in England, was 61-years-old when he died from the asbestos-related lung cancer, the article said.
His widow is now suing his former employer, a demolition company.
She believes her husband, who loaded building debris from demolition sites at factories and buildings across Birmingham in the UK, may have been exposed to asbestos dust while working for the firm during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
She is now hoping former work colleagues of her husband will come forward to help her in the lawsuit.
Sadly, this situation is all too familiar to the attorneys in the Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos Litigation unit here in the United States.
We are a leading plaintiffs' law firm that has represented people affected by mesothelioma for over 20 years. Men and women diagnosed with mesothelioma or lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure may be entitled to compensation from the companies responsible for their disease.
