Important New Findings on Asbestos-Related Diseases
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) announced important new findings regarding the age in which new patients are being diagnosed with mesothelioma and other diseases related to asbestos.
The ADAO says the average age for those diagnosed with mesothelioma is
51. The organization said more than half of the new cases diagnosed are women.
Their research also
shows that many newly diagnosed patients are under the age of 40 and have never
worked directly with asbestos. This new information is quite different from
earlier studies.
In 1986, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported
that the average age was nearly 70 years old and almost half were men.
The dangers of exposure to asbestos is all too familiar to the attorneys
