Mesothelioma claimant sues former employers in Illinois circuit court
A Washington claimant suffering from mesothelioma filed an asbestos lawsuit in an Illinois Circuit Court, reported the Madison County Record on May 7, 2008.
The man said his asbestos disease was wrongfully caused by former employers who disregarded employee health safety precautions at work.
He was diagnosed with mesothelioma on Feb. 8, after exhibiting trademark symptoms of the deadly disease that kills more than 3,000 Americans every year.

Lawsuit background . . .The man filing suit was employed as a machinist in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 2003 in Illinois and various other locations, and as a maintenance man at various locations around the country.
According to the Record, he seeks damages to help pay for the cost of his treatment and future lost wages, as well as punitive damages.
