An autopsy has concluded that an ex-Navy employee died from the industrial disease mesothelioma, according to the South Wales News on April 17, 2008.
The man reportedly joined the Navy
in 1948 as an electrician,
working in many dockyards until 1956.
During his working life he was
exposed to asbestos, including periods spent
working in Treforest and Llwynypia Hospital.
The coroner said at the
inquest that over the years, he had dealt with cases of ex-naval men who worked
with asbestos.
Sadly, this situation
is all too familiar to the attorneys in the Weitz &
Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos Litigation unit here in the United States.
