A New Jersey man diagnosed with mesothelioma has filed an asbestos lawsuit alleging his disease was wrongfully caused, according to the Madison County Record on July 22, 2008.
The man says he was employed a materials processor and plant manager from 1949 through 2000 at
various locations.
He says that while employed at those jobs he was
exposed to and inhaled, ingested or otherwise absorbed asbestos fibers emanating from products he was working with and
around.
The complaint states that "The plaintiff's exposure and inhalation, ingestion or
absorption of the asbestos fibers was completely foreseeable and could or should
have been anticipated by the defendants." As a result of the alleged negligence,
the former plant worker claims he was exposed to fibers containing asbestos.
He is now seeking damages to
help pay for the cost of his treatment.
