BLOOMINGTON, Illinois, January 23, 2008 ā The Pantagraph is reporting that a second state inspection has halted renovation work on the Front āNā Center building while samples taken from the building are tested for asbestos.
According to the article, the Illinois Department of Public Health issued the stop-work order this week and sealed the section under renovation.
A State health department spokeswoman said the department had inspected the building previously and stopped work then for the same reason.
She said material suspected of being asbestos had been disturbed. The material is being tested and results could be available as early next week, according to the newspaper.
