A man who died of mesothelioma cancer had been planning to sue his former employer, an independent gas turbine service company, reported the Lincolnshire Echo in England on June 25, 2008.
The 80-year-old man succumbed to the lung condition brought on by exposure to asbestos just a month after being diagnosed. He reportedly worked as an instrumentation engineer from 1957 to 1978.
At some time during his career, the asbestos roof was removed and replaced.
The work took months to complete, and, as a result, exposed him repeatedly to asbestos dust.
Sadly, this situation is all too familiar to the mesothelioma attorneys in the Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos Litigation unit here in the United States.
