Family of Florida welder files mesothelioma lawsuit
The family of a Floridian welder who died of mesothelioma has filed a lawsuit against a dozen corporations in court, according to the Madison County Record on June 11, 2008.
The suit claims his asbestos disease
was wrongfully caused.
Reportedly, the man worked from the early '50s to
the late '80s as a chipper, grinder and welder.
His family claims that
while he was employed, and during home
and automotive repairs, he was exposed to asbestos fibers emanating from certain
products he was working with and around.
The lawsuit alleges that the
corporations knew or should have known that the asbestos fibers contained in
their products were toxic and could cause severe health problems.
