Man who made television props for news service dies of mesothelioma. Free lawsuit review if you have been harmed by asbestos.
A television props technician for 30 years died in January 2006 from the asbestos-related cancer mesothelioma, reported This is Local London on June 29, 2008.
According to the article, a settlement was reached in court, when the man's
former employer agreed to pay the money to his daughter.
But the man's
daughter is distraught that the company, an international news service,
continues to deny liability in her father's death, and for fighting the asbestos case all the way.
The man
reportedly brought his mesothelioma
lawsuit against the company after he was diagnosed with the mesothelioma cancer, and his daughter
kept going after his death at age 69.
He had worked for the corporation as
a scenery fitter from 1964 to 1994 and was often asked to crawl around roofs and
tight spaces to make sure scenery remained in place.
The daughter said
her father was paid extra for one job, soon after he started at the company, to
work in a roof space full of asbestos.
Sadly, this situation is all too familiar to the attorneys in the Weitz &
Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos
Litigation unit.
