Negligence lawsuit filed against County for mishandling 911 call

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune has reported that a negligence lawsuit has been filed against a county Sheriff’s Office over the mishandling of a 911 call.

The alleged negligence by the county contributed to the death of a woman. The woman was kidnapped and a person who claims to have seen the kidnapping called 911. The 911 call however, was never reported to those who could have stopped the kidnapper. The kidnapped woman was subsequently found after she had already died.
