Ortho Evra MDL: Dangerous Drug Defends Itself

Ortho Evra MDL is currently being pursued due to its dangerous side effects. A motion was filed with the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation in late 2005. This motion requested a consolidation of all federal court lawsuits alleging injury or death due to use of the Ortho Evra birth control patch. This ia a direct result of the fact that there is an increased threat of heart attacks, strokes and blood clots among others. The FDA has altered the label of the Ortho Evra Patch to reflect the silent danger of heart attack and stroke. Many are not aware of these dangerous side effects.
