Uncover The Facts About PAH Fluorene
Fluorene is a low molecular weight PAH and an EPA Priority Pollutant. It is considered toxic.
Fluorene is a common PAH component of used motor oil.
It has been detected in main stream cigarette smoke, exhaust from gasoline engines, coal tars, fossil fuels, groundwater, sediment and creosote.
A certain amount of soil material has been contaminated with a PAH-mixture containing, among them, fluorene.
In one case, Fluorene was found in groundwater at a coal and oil plant some 30 years after the plant shut down.
